DAY 1: PICK UP FROM MARRAKECH AND DRIVE TO IMLIL VALLEY 1740M - TIZI N'TAMATERT PASS 2379M – TINGHERINE:
After a transfer to the village of Imlil, we start our trek. We walk from Imlil (1740m) towards Tinerhourhine, hereby passing by Tamatert. We will have lunch on the col of Tizi 'n Tamatert (2279m). After lunch continue to Ouanskra - Tamguist. Later we arrive at Tinerhourhine (1600m) where we will spend the night in a local gite. Approx. 4 hours walking.

DAY 2: TINGHERINE VILLAGE– TIZI AGUERSIOUAL PASS 2000 M – ID AISSA, 6HRS
We depart from Tinerhourhine along the Imenane Valley; hereby we pass the Berber village Ikkiss (1700m). We then continue to Tizi n’Aguersioual (2000m) and will have our lunch at Matate (2000m). We will spend the night in a local gite in Aït Aïssa (1800m). Approx. 6 to 7 hours walking.

DAY 3: TId issa – Tizi Oussem Village 1900m - Tizi Mzik pass 2500 m – Imlil Valley - Marrakech
We depart from Aït Aïssa and walk towards Tizi Oussem (1900m). We pass by Tizi Mzik (2500m), and the village of Mzik before arriving back in Imlil. Approx. 4 hours walking time.

Essential Equipments:

  • Good walking boots and socks
  • Shoes - change for evenings
  • Water, carried by camel
  • Water bottle or camel back (recommended)
  • Water purification e.g. iodine
  • Day sack/backpack
  • Sleeping bag (3-4 season); plus thermal liner in winter
  • Scarf to wrap around your head in a sandstorm
  • Personal items: towel, sunscreen, wet wipes, loo roll
  • Toiletries that are eco-friendly e.g. soap, shampoo etc.
  • Small First Aid Kit e.g. insect repellent, plasters, meds
  • Sunglasses.
  • Torch/Flashlight and spare batteries e.g. head torch
  • Fleece (summer)
  • Layers, windproof jacket (autumn-spring)
  • Hat for summer and warm beanie for winter plus gloves
  • Thermal underwear (autumn-spring)

    Meals: You will have the opportunity to enjoy typically Moroccan meals (tajine, couscous,.). Fresh products, canned food as a complement, meat bought in the mountains. Picnic or salads for lunch, hot ready-cooked meals for dinner. 
    We use a big tent to preparing the meals, and a mess tent to eat. The water flows out from the mountains is very pure but you should treat it otherwise to use bottle water instead of water from the sourse .

    Travel inside of morocco: For transfers between Marrakech and the starting or end point of the hike, we use minibuses or four-wheel drive vehicles or taxis depends on size of the group. During the days of the trek , mules or camels carry the luggage.
